al-Madhhab al-Shāfiʿī fī bilād al-Ṣomāl: المذهب … (Arabic Edition)

al-Madhhab al-Shāfiʿī fī bilād al-Ṣomāl: judhūruhu wa taṭawwuruh is a book that deals with the roots and development of the al-Shāfiʿī school of thought in the Somali peninsula. It also explores the well the efforts of some Somali scholars in the service of teaching and pioneering this school of thought. Due to these scholarly efforts, it is not surprising that the people of the Somali peninsula made unparalleled efforts in order to learn it and adhere to it, to the point that it is exlusively the only school of jurisprudence practised now. Although all Islamic schools of jurisprudence were scientifically known in Somalia, the people of Somalia were limited to one view that prevailed for them, which is the madhab of Imam Muhammad b. Idris al-Shāfiʿī - may God have mercy on him. This work discusses in detail the history and the arrival of the madhab as well as the link in other parts of the muslim world. The author looks into the way some books were studied and in many cases many scholars abroad sought out the Somali peninsula as a place of learning.

عَنْ اَلْكِتَاب المذهب الشافعي في بلاد الصومال جذوره وتطورههَذَا الْكِتَابُ يَتَنَاوَلُ جُذُورَ وَتَطَوُّرَ الْمَذْهَبِ الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي بِلَادِ الصُّومَالِ، كَمَا يَتَنَاوَلُ جُهُودَ بَعْضِ الْعُلَمَاءِ وَالْبَاحِثِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصُّومَالِ فِي خِدْمَتِهِمْ لِلْمَذْهَبِ؛ عِلْمًاً بِأَنَّ دِرَاسَةَ وَتَدْرِيسَ عِلْمَيْ الْفِقْهِ وَالتَّصَوُّفِ مِنْ أَهَمّ الْعُلُومِ الَّتِي اهْتَمّ بِهَا أَهْلُ الصُّومَالِ ، وَأَكْثَرُهَا تَطَوُّرًا ً، بَلْ وَأَوْسَعُهَا قَبُولًاً فِي أَوْسَاطِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ وَطُلَّابِهِ فِي الصُّومَالِ. وَنَظَرًاً لِارْتِبَاطِ عِلْمِ الْفِقْهِ وَعُمْقِ اتِّصَالِهِ بِالدِّينِ الْإِسْلَامِيِّ وَمَصَادِرِهِ الْأَصْلِيَّةِ الْمُتَمَثِّلَةِ فِي الْكِتَابِ وَالسُّنّةِ النَّبَوِيَّةِ الشَّرِيفَةِ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا أَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ وَالسَّلَامِ _ فَلَا يُسْتَغْرَبُ إِذًا أَنْ يَبْذُلَ أَهْلُ الصُّومَالِ جُهُودًاً لَا نَظِيرَ لَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ تَعَلُّمِهِ وَالتَّعَلُّقِ بِهِ وَالنِّيلِ مِنْ مَنَاهِلِهِ وَمَنَابِعِهِ الْأَصْلِيَّةِ. وَلَا غَرْوَ فِي ذَلِكَ فَهَذَا الْعِلْمُ - أَيْ عِلْمُ الْفِقْهِ - يُعَدّ مِنْ أَهَمّ الْعُلُومِ الْإِسْلَامِيَّةِ الَّتِي لَهَا عَلَاقَةٌ مُبَاشِرَةٌ بِسُلُوكِ الْمُسْلِمِ وَمُعَامَلَاتِهِ الدِّينِيَّةِ وَالدُّنْيَوِيَّةِ،
