CUSTOMER SERVICE

At Looh Press, we aim to provide a reliable, friendly, and professiogether with a limited number of partner publications, and on occasion rare or second-hand books.

We aim to keep our stock information up to date and to present our products as accurately as possible. However, availability, editions, and condition details may occasionally vary.

PRODUCT SCOPE, CONDITION, AND LISTINGS

1.1 Looh Press publications

Books published by Looh Press are expected to meet our normal print and production standards. Where a copy is damaged, misprinted, incomplete, or incorrectly supplied, we will review the matter and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or refund.

1.2 Partner publications

We also sell selected books from partner or sister publishers. These books may differ in paper, binding, cover finish, typesetting, or other production details depending on the publisher and printing batch.

1.3 Rare and second-hand books

From time to time, we may sell rare, used, or second-hand books. These may show signs of age, shelf wear, annotations, stamp marks, cover wear, page toning, or other condition issues. Where such issues are known, identified, or visible from the listing, they do not qualify as grounds for return.

1.4 Images, editions, and reprints

Book images and descriptions are provided in good faith. However, reprints or later impressions may sometimes differ slightly in cover design, layout, page count, or other non-substantive production details. This is especially the case with third-party, imported, or older stock.


SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

2.1 Dispatch times

We aim to process and dispatch orders within 2 to 4 working days. If we expect a significantly longer delay, we will contact you using the details provided with your order.

2.2 Shipping methods

Shipping is arranged using reputable carriers and quote-based delivery services, which may include Royal Mail, Parcelforce, and courier options available through shipping comparison platforms such as Transglobal Express or equivalent services, depending on the destination, parcel profile, and service availability. Shipping charges should therefore be understood as dynamic, not fixed, and are usually based on weight, dimensions, destination, and service level. Royal Mail consumer parcels generally have a 20kg maximum per parcel, while some heavier services through other carriers or business/international options may allow more, depending on the service and destination. eckout is an estimate only, not a guarantee. For example, Royal Mailโ€™s published delivery aims currently indicate around 3โ€“5 working days within Europe and 5โ€“7 working days worldwide for tracked international services, with economy or standard services often taking longer. Delivery times may also be affected by customs processing, local postal networks, weather, holidays, and international incidents. Kingdom may be subject to customs duties, VAT, import fees, handling charges, or other local taxes in the destination country. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are usually payable by the recipient, not by Looh Press. If such charges are refused and the parcel is returned, destroyed, or surcharged, any resulting costs may be deducted from the refund where applicable. time, we may offer free shipping, reduced shipping, or subsidised postage on selected orders, destinations, or titles. Any such offer will apply only when clearly stated at the time of purchase.


RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND REPLACEMENTS

3.1 General return position

Because Looh Press now primarily sells its own publications, together with a limited number of partner titles and some rare/second-hand books, returns are accepted only in limited cases and only where there is a valid reason.

We will normally consider a return or refund only where:

  • the wrong item was sent, or
  • the item arrived with a genuine defect, such as:
  • damaged cover,
  • damaged or missing pages,
  • pages in the wrong order,
  • serious misprint or production fault.

3.2 Non-returnable situations

We do not accept returns simply because:

  • you changed your mind,
  • you ordered the wrong book, edition, or format,
  • you dislike the style, translation, or presentation,
  • a third-party publication differs from your expectations in non-defective ways,
  • a rare or second-hand book shows wear and tear already noted, visible, or fairly expected from its condition description.

In particular, if you purchase a book not printed by Looh Press, or a book sold as used, rare, second-hand, or with identified/listed condition issues, those stated or apparent issues are not valid grounds for return.

3.3 How to request a return

Before sending anything back, please email us first at admin@LoohPress.com and explain:

  • your order number,
  • the item concerned,
  • the reason you wish to return it,
  • and clear photographs where relevant.
  • Return requests should be made within 7 days of delivery.

3.4 Approval process

Do not return any item unless we have confirmed the return by email. Once reviewed, we may:

  • approve a replacement, if available, or
  • approve a refund to the original payment method.

3.5 Refund amount

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be issued for the item price only, and original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We also recommend using a service with proof of postage or tracking, since we cannot refund or replace an item that is not received back where return of the item has been required.


OUT-OF-STOCK ITEMS

If an item is ordered but is not immediately available, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer:

  • a revised dispatch estimate,
  • a substitute only where appropriate and clearly agreed,
  • or a refund.

This may especially apply to partner publications, imported books, or older titles with limited availability.
